CMA is an "application" only school. You must fill out an application to enroll. CMA does not administer
an enrollment examination.
Who will be admitted?
Approximately 140 students from the 9th grade, and a small number from the 10th grade, from among those
who submit application packages
What is the criteria?
Students must have at least a 2.25 grade point averages and levels 1, 2, or high 3 scores on the
Other criterion for admission is based on the quality of the students application, which includes the
- standardized test scores NWEA MAP, depending on the school and district the student is coming
from PSAT, SAT/
- the latest report card,
- checklist from a current Math or English teacher,
- comments from a counselor or an administrator,
- students responses to the six personal questions on the application.
Students are selected by a committee of CMA administrators and counselors who review and accept or
reject each application based on the quality of the application
What s the deadline?
Applications for Fall of 2017 must be submitted no later than April 2017
When will I be notified with the results?
you will be notified by letter, no later than 2 weeks after submitting the application
Can I appeal the decision?
You may schedule a meeting with the principal to appeal the decision.
