                  Excellent School of Detroit:
CMA was invited to participate in the 2012 Excellent School
of Detroit Annual School Fair.  CMA was one of nine high
schools in the Detroit area to be invited to participate.  High
schools have to achieve a 4 year average ACT of 16.5 or
higher to participate.
CMA Academic Data:
CMA studens are in the top 76% Percentile in the State of  Michigan based on the bottom top ranking.  Our ACT Score improved
in all areas.  

The state Z Score for CMA is 96%

All grade levels finished last school year with minimum GPA of 2.3.  This is an increase from previous years.

Over 50% of all students are reading at high school grade level

AYP Status:
CMA made AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) in Math, English, Reading and Writing.  We didn’t make AYP in Social Studies, two
students out of 130 did not show proficient levels in Social Studies.  

What’s The Plan:
•        11th Graders are being double dosed in Math and English (2 classes in each subject).
•        10th Graders are receiving a double Science class.
